The Cappadocia Whirling Dervish Show allows you to experience a mystical Sema ceremony inspired by the teachings of Mevlâna Celaleddin Rumi. A captivating ceremony where spirituality, culture, and ritual converge, this show represents the dervishes' journey toward love, purification, and divine truth. The show starts daily at around 18:00 (times may vary throughout the year). The tour offers a complete experience including hotel pickup and drop-off, entrance ticket, informative audio guide, pre-show preparations, and traditional Ottoman tea served after the performance. Your pickup time will be communicated after booking. The ceremony takes place at Saruhan Caravanserai, with its impressive atmosphere dating back to the 13th century. This historic venue creates a magnificent stage for the seven-stage Sema ritual, reflecting the spiritual transformation of the whirling dervishes. Dressed in white garments and spinning gracefully, the dervishes hold one hand toward the sky and the other toward the ground, representing a balance that channels divine love to all existence. Photography and video recording are not permitted during the show out of respect for the spirit of the ritual. However, after the ceremony is completed, a special time is given for you to take photos and record a short sample whirling performance. Following this impressive show lasting approximately 1 hour, we drop you back at your hotel.
